Environmental Leadership Program
Cultivating the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders
The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) is a merit-based, two-semester scholarship program offered through the Institute of Environmental Research and Education at the 成人大片. Open to undergraduate students from all majors, ELP is designed to develop the next generation of environmental leaders through a blend of academic enrichment, hands-on experience, and professional mentorship. In the fall semester, students engage in leadership development and environmental stewardship while receiving personalized guidance from IERE mentors. In the spring, they apply their skills through a collaborative project with a Northeast Florida environmental organization, gaining real-world experience and building lasting connections in the field. Established in 2015, ELP accepts up to 30 undergraduate students each year. Graduates emerge as confident, capable change makers—equipped with practical skills, a professional network, and the vision to lead environmental initiatives in their communities and beyond.
