³ÉÈË´óƬ

Today, the ³ÉÈË´óƬ celebrated 1,286 students earning their degrees during the Fall 2025 commencement ceremonies at the ³ÉÈË´óƬArena.  

President Moez Limayem, who was confirmed Friday morning as the next president of the University of South Florida, presided over the ceremonies.  

Graduates range in age from 19 to 65, they come from 22 countries, 32% are the first generation in their families to attend college, many have 4.0 GPA’s and 204 are connected to the military. Degrees were awarded from 106 different combinations of majors in total. 

Graduates from the following colleges will move directly into careers with notable companies including:   

• Brooks College of Health: Mayo Clinic, Baptist Health, Florida Department of Health, UF Flagler Hospital, Orlando Health and Envision Healthcare 

• College of Arts & Sciences: Johnson & Johnson, CSX, Jacksonville Jaguars, KLS Martin, Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville, World Affairs Council of Jacksonville and DermaCare Research Labs 

• Coggin College of Business: Bank of America, PGA Tour, Community First Credit Union of Florida, JPMorgan Chase, VyStar, Stellar Energy, EverBank, Habitat for Humanity, Mercedes Benz Group and the Department of Defense Civil Service 

• College of Education & Human Services: Sporting Jax, River City Science Academy, Duval County Public Schools, Clay County School District and St. Johns County School District. 
• College of Computing, Engineering & Construction: JEA, RF-SMART, The Haskell Company, United States Army Corps of Engineers and Wharton-Smith Construction Group 

The Senior Service Award is presented by the ³ÉÈË´óƬAlumni Association to one graduating senior each semester for their outstanding service to the University and community through volunteerism. This semester’s recipient is Tanasha Jackson. 

Jackson, a proud member of the Hicks Honors College, is graduating from UNF’s College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Africana studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in digital humanities, maintaining a 3.28 GPA while earning honors such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship, Newman Civic Fellowship and the Excellence in Community Engagement Award.  

Jackson bridged academic learning with community impact through internships and community service, including with the Mayor’s Youth at Work Partnership, LISC’s Ribault River historical documentation project, White Harvest Farms and the ³ÉÈË´óƬEnvironmental Leadership program. She also founded the First-Generation Ospreys Club in August 2025. while serving in various leadership positions on campus. Inspired by her experiences, Jackson plans to pursue a career in law and education leadership. 

The ³ÉÈË´óƬClass of Fall 2025 will join the Osprey alumni nation’s current 116,715-member total. As of summer 2025, ³ÉÈË´óƬhas issued 101,215 bachelor’s degrees, 24,731 master’s degrees and 1,734 doctorates since first opening in 1972. 

Near the end of the commencement ceremonies, Limayem spoke briefly about his time at UNF.  

“I want to say how grateful my family and I are to everyone who welcomed us to this beautiful campus and to Northeast Florida,” he said. “I am especially thankful for the incredible faculty and staff who helped ³ÉÈË´óƬreach new heights and break countless records. I am proud to have been part of this Osprey family, and I look forward to cheering on ³ÉÈË´óƬas it continues its remarkable trajectory of success.”
